  • We had a major storm this morning.  Very exciting.
  • Nurse Kim came by today to check on my mother.

  • Today is Easter so no home health care services.
  • I organized my beer log information.
  • I pruned the weeping prickly tree by my mother’s garage.  (I don’t know what it is called.)  I have scratches to prove it.
  • My sister and I worked on weeding and beautifying my mother’s enclosed patio.
  • I went for a walk including the Paramore Park path and the pond across Firetower:

  • I trimmed my beard.  Then I was itchy.
  • I “helped” Andy water the plants.

Today’s highlights:

  • I prepared a very special Holy Saturday version of Three Songs for Maarten.
  • Nurse Tracy came by to check no my mother.  (We usually do not have any services on Saturday.)
  • My new beard trimmer arrived.  I am supposed to charge it overnight before first use.
  • My sister started the new Cinque Terre puzzle with a goal of beating Andy to completion.  She recognizes that she has an advantage since Andy is still working.
  • I went for a long walk including trails at Alice F Keene Park and at Wintergreen Primary School plus a visit to the Eastern Carolina Village & Farm Museum:
    • Brahms:  Piano Quintet in F minor, Op 34 (remainder)
    • Brahms:  String Quintet No 1 in F, Op 88

  • I learned that my office will observe Friday as a full-day holiday instead of a half-day holiday.
  • PTA Heather came and worked with my mother.
  • We canceled today’s appointment at the surgeon’s office after confirming that the home health nurse can remove her drain.
  • I had a Zoom meeting with a committee from my running club to discuss the fate of various disrupted events.
  • I had a family Zoom meeting with 21 participants (though not all at the same time).
  • I had no walk as we had an evening storm for the third day in a row.
