Today’s pet peeve:  I had to call my mother’s bank to try to troubleshoot an electronic bill-pay issue.  The phone representative was spectacularly unhelpful.  I will call the local branch tomorrow.

• My father wanted to go downtown to help clean up from last night’s civil unrest but his battery was dead.
• The home health care agency called to notify us that one of our therapists has tested positive for COVID-19.  My mother’s last contact with this person was one day last week.
• My mother went to see her primary care physician to have the sutures removed from her head.  He met her at curbside and performed the procedure through the car window.
• Andy and I went for a walk after work and before the curfew.

• I gave Andy a summer haircut.

Today’s pet peeve:  I was shorted two bagels at the bagel shop, I was overcharged by one item at Dollar Tree, the Fluffy Biscuits by Duck-Rabbit I bought were skunky and the High Roller from Big Boss was an explosive foam bomb.  But other than that, I’ve got nothing.

• A nature walk in the maritime forest at Fort Macon State Park.

• An exploration of the old fort.
• A drive down the Bogue Banks to Emerald Isle.
• A stop by my family’s ancestral church at Hadnot’s Creek.
