Today’s highlights:

  • Andy and I went for a virtual 10-miler run on the Green Mill Run Greenway and the South Tar River Greenway.  (Actually 11.5 miles.)  It was not as hot as last weekend but was sunnier and more humid.
  • I prepared Three Songs for Maarten:
    • Homegrown Tomatoes by Guy Clark
    • Jesus and Tomatoes by Kate Campbell
    • Canned Goods by Greg Brown
  • I went to Food Lion for my father.
  • I went to Harris-Teeter for my mother.

Today’s ice cream:  n/a

Today’s beer:  Pernicious IPA from Wicked Weed Brewing in Candler and Backcountry Black IPA from Deep River Brewing Company in Clayton.

Today’s pet peeve:  Families deciding to hold their family reunions in Harris-Teeter when I am trying to shop during a pandemic.
